Use the Notifications tab in Mobile & Tablet Manager to set up and manage the use of notifications in iSAMS mobile apps.
Notifications are useful for sending out messages quickly to app users. Messages can be sent to inform all app users of an emergency or to an individual iParent app user about a sick child:
Three types of notification are available:
- Simple push notifications. Messages are sent out manually to users.
- Automated notifications. These are currently still in development.
- Rich notifications. Messages can be sent with attachments, such as a PDF. These are currently still in development.
A number of options are listed in the right hand menu of the Notifications tab:

| Notification Security | Push Group Management | Manage security permissions for sending notifications. Only selected users and groups can send and authorise notifications. |
| Create Notifications | Create Simple Push Message | Compile and send simple notifications to users. |
| Manage Message Options | Manage notification settings. Switch on functions and set defaults to suit you, such as the default mobile app that is selected when compiling a new notification. | |
| Notification Messages | View Outbound Messages | View a full log of notifications that have been compiled to check if messages have been sent. |

| Notification Templates | Custom Push Templates | Create templates for notification messages. This is useful for standard messages that need to be compiled quickly, such as an emergency school closure. |

| Notification Channels | Manage Push Channels | Manage notification channels. Channels, such as 'Attendance Updates' and 'Timetables Updates' are listed for each of the apps. Mobile app users can subscribe to the channels available to ensure that they receive notifications which are relevant to them. All app users subscribed to channels are listed here. App channel features can also be controlled from these options. |
