Use the Notification Channels options in the Mobile & Tablet Manager to manage notification channels and their features. Channels, such as 'Bulletin Updates' and 'Calendar Changes' are listed for each of the apps. When a notification message is sent there is the option of sending it to a selected channel.
Mobile app users can subscribe to the channels available to ensure that they receive notifications which are relevant to them. Users can choose control the notifications from their subscribed channels directly from the app.
All app users subscribed to channels are listed in the Notification Channels options.
To manage push notification channels:
- Either:
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
or - Select Mobile & Tablet Manager from the module bar if the applet has been configured to display here.
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
Open the Notifications tab, four options are listed under Notifications Channels in the right hand menu:
Each of these options displays the channels available in apps along with channel features, such as the number of subscribers and whether the channel is hidden or visible in apps.
- Choose to:
- Create a custom push channel.
- Edit push channel details. Change the description or enable/disable the channel for use.
- Edit push channel in-app features. For example, select whether channels are displayed in apps and whether app users are auto subscribed to them.
- Select individual users to have access to channels through selected apps.
