Using the Features Tab

Use the Features tab in the Pupil Portal Manager module to enable and configure features of the Pupil Portal. Add functions and select information to display in the Pupil Portal, as required. The options available allow you to customise your Pupil Portal with functionality that matches pupils' and your school's requirements.

When you select the Features tab, a number of options are available for you in the right hand menu:

Overview	Features Overview. Check the current status of features running in the Pupil Portal.
Information & News	Daily Bulletin. Set up daily bulletins to display in the Pupil Portal.  School News. Set up school news stories to display in the Pupil Portal.  School Calendar. Set up school calendars to display in the Pupil Portal.  School Directory Options. Display a school directory in the Pupil Portal and choose the contacts listed in the school directory. Latest Content. Set up and display lists of latest uploaded content, such as links and photos, in the Pupil Portal. Latest Bookmarks. Set up and display a list of recently created bookmarks in the Pupil Portal.  Latest Photo Galleries. Set up standalone images and artwork to display in the Pupil Portal.
Core Features	Timetable Options. Set up pupil access to school timetables.  Teaching Groups Options. Set up pupil access to teaching set lists.  Attendance Options. Set up pupil access to attendance records.  Discipline Options. Set up pupil access to detention records.  Reward & Conduct Options. Set up pupil access to rewards and conduct records.  Activities Options. Set up pupil access to lists of school activities.  Internal Exams Options. Set up pupil access to lists of school exams.  Public Exams Options. Set up pupil access to lists of external exams.  School Reports Options. Set up pupil access to school reports and assessment results.
Interactive Features	Self Appraisal Options. Set up pupil access to personal statement and self appraisal options. Personal Subject Report Options. Set up pupil access to personal subject report options.
Account Options	Nickname Options. Allow pupils to change their Pupil Portal nickname displayed to other portal users.  E-Mail Options. Allow pupils to change the e-mail address linked to their Pupil Portal account in the Pupil Portal. Mobile Phone Options. Allow pupils to link a mobile phone number to their Pupil Portal account.  Password Options. Allow pupils to change their Pupil Portal account password in the Pupil Portal.  Security Question Options. Allow pupils to change the security question and answer linked to their Pupil Portal account in the Pupil Portal.  Time Zone Options. This option is not currently in use.
