Setting Up Self Appraisals

Use the Features tab in the Pupil Portal Manager module to set up the Self Assessment feature for use in the Pupil Portal:

Pupils can use the Self Assessment feature to view and complete self assessment reports in the Pupil Portal. Self appraisals allow you to gather reviews and feedback from pupils about school life. You may wish to use self appraisals as part of pupil assessments throughout a school term.

• Self assessments and appraisal reports displayed in the Pupil Portal are closely linked with the iSAMS Reporting modules.
• Use the Reporting modules to set up report cycles, assessments and reports ready for use in the Pupil Portal.

To set up self appraisal assessments to display in the Pupil Portal, follow the steps below:

1. In the Pupil Portal Manager module, select the Features tab.
2. Select Self Appraisal Options from the right hand menu.
   The Self Appraisal Options screen is displayed:
   
3. In the Self Appraisal Status field, select 'Open' to enable pupils to view and complete self appraisals in the Pupil Portal.
4. Click Save Options when finished.
