Use the Assessment module to write concise reports for your pupils. Include grades, test scores and brief comments. This is useful for mid-term reviews of pupil progress.
- Open the Assessments module to display the OAS Home tab.
In the Reports Options section, select the report cycle that you want to write assessments in:

Use the information listed to check that you have selected the correct report cycle to work in.
Important Dates
- The Start/End Dates when the report cycle is to be used are displayed for you. Statistics are gathered on the report cycle between these dates.
- The Printing Date shown is displayed on printed versions of assessments.
Publication Settings
The Processing Tools and Publication Options set up for the report cycle are displayed for you:
- Choose to write assessments remotely from iSAMS when Upload and Download tools are listed as available.
- Check where completed assessments can be viewed. (Staff, Pupil Portal or Parent Portal).
indicates that a function is available.
indicates that a function is unavailable.
View as Other
Select to view assessments as another assessment writer. This is useful for checking assessments by other staff before they are printed.
This section is greyed out if access restrictions have been set up.

This section is only displayed if Notices are set up for the report cycle .
A tab is displayed for each of the report types allocated to the selected report cycle.
