When you first access the Tracking Manager Module you must use the Configuration tab to setup the module to suit you. All the settings saved in the Configuration tab are applied throughout the module.
An example of the Configuration tab is shown below:
Work through the options listed in the right hand menu of the Configuration tab. These options are explained in the table below:
Option | Explanation |
Module Configuration | Tracking Configuration. Use this option to start using the module. See Getting Started with Tracking Manager for more information. Tracking Features. Select the data sources and functions for the Tracking Manager Module. See Setting Up Tracking Features for more information. |
Tracking Objects | Use the options available to setup how data is displayed and used in your Tracking Models. It is important that Tracking Objects are setup before you start using Tracking Models. This ensures that you use the full functionality of the Tracking Manager Module. Wizards are available in each of the options available. See Using the Tracking Object Wizards for more information. Style & Design Objects. Setup how data is grouped and displayed. Data is colour coded for ease. See Setting Up the Style of Tracking Objects for more information. Sorting & Ordering Objects. Setup the order that data used in the module is listed. For example, choose to list effort grades of '1' and exam grades of 'A' first. This helps you to compare information gathered from different sources. See Setting Up the Sorting of Tracking Objects for more information. Gradeset Objects. Translate gradeset values of numerical data (such as results of between 80% and 100%) into grades, marks or targets. The original data is still available to view in your Tracking Models. See Setting Up Gradeset Objects for more information. Transpose Objects. Change the format of data linked to the Tracking Manager Module. Setup Transpose Objects as numerical values, grades or targets. Use this to transpose data from different sources into common values. Common numerical values can be used for calculating average grades. The original data is still available to view in your Tracking Models. See Setting Up Transpose Objects for more information. |
Model Defaults | Tracking User Defaults. This option is not currently in use. See Setup My Model Preferences for help setting up default display options in the Manage Models tab. Tracking Model Defaults. Setup default features for new Tracking Models to suit you. See Setting Up Model Defaults for more information. |
Style Sheet Options | Screen Style Sheets. Use to setup the colours and styling for on-screen versions of Tracking Models. Print Style Sheets. Use to setup the colours and styling for printed versions of Tracking Models. |
Module Setup | Component Harness. The components used throughout the module are listed here along with their current installation status. Contact the Help Desk if any of the components are listed either as not installed or not working correctly. This may be the reason the module is not producing Tracking Models as expected. See Tracking Manager Component Harness for more information. Module Options. Use to re-install the entire module or reset styling options to default settings. Use this option with caution as re-installing the module deletes all current content and settings. See Re-Install the Tracking Manager Module for more information. |
