Use the Style Sheet Options available in the Configuration tab to change the display styling of your Tracking Models matrix.
Select Screen Style Sheets to setup and manage the styling for on-screen versions of your Tracking Models.
Select Print Style Sheets to setup and manage the styling for printed versions of your Tracking Models.
For example, change the font type used for printed versions of your Tracking Models to reflect font types used in other school documentation. Default style sheets for both the on-screen and printed versions of your Tracking Model matrix are setup for you. Only adapt styling once you are familiar with the CSS code used in style sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed when you select either of the Style Sheet Options available in the right hand menu of the Configuration tab.
An example of the Matrix Style Sheets screen is shown below:
Use the functions available in the Matrix Style Sheets screen to:
- Add a Style Sheet. Create your own style sheet for your Tracking Models.
- Edit a Style Sheet. Edit the properties or styling details of an existing style sheet.
- Copy a Style Sheet. Create a duplicate of an existing style sheet. Then choose to edit the duplicate if required, this saves time.
- Delete a Style Sheet. Remove a style sheet from the module. Do not select this if a style sheet is already in use.
- Export a Style Sheet. Export an XML file of your style sheet to save a backup file of it. This is useful if you have to re-install the module at any point. Your style sheets have to be setup again following a re-install.
- Import a Style Sheet. Import an XML file of style sheets from an external source into iSAMS. This is useful if you have had to re-install the Tracking Manager Module. Import the style sheets from your backup file.
Add a Style Sheet
To add a style sheet in the Tracking Manager Module, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Click .
The Create Style Sheet window is displayed. An example is shown below:
3. Complete the sections available in the Style Sheet Details tab:
Section | Explanation |
Style Sheet Properties | Style Sheet Type. Select whether the style sheet is to be applied to on-screen or printed versions of Tracking Models. Style Sheet Name. Use a clear, concise and unique name for your style sheet. This is displayed when selecting Model Properties for your Tracking Models. Style Sheet Code. Use a unique code to identify the style sheet. Style Sheet Active. Select Yes to start using the style sheet. Active style sheets are identified by the icon in the Matrix Style Sheets screen. Selecting No makes the style sheet inactive and you are unable to use it. |
Style Sheet Defaults | Select Yes for this style sheet to be preselected when you create new Tracking Models. Default style sheets are identified by the icon in the Matrix Style Sheets screen. Selecting the default option is useful for your most used style sheet. |
4. Select the Style Sheet tab and construct your style sheet using CSS code. An example is shown below:
5. Click Save & Close.
Your style sheet is displayed in the Matrix Style Sheets screen.
Edit a Style Sheet
Change the properties or styling details of an existing style sheet in the Tracking Manager Module.
To edit a style sheet, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Click in the style sheet you want to edit.
The Edit Style Sheet window is displayed. A example is shown below:
3. Edit the sections available in the Style Sheet Details tab:

4. Select the Style Sheet tab and edit your style sheet using CSS code, if required. An example is shown below:
5. Select the Audit tab to view an audit log for the style sheet. This is useful for viewing a history of changes made to the style sheet.

6. Click Save & Close.
Your edited style sheet is displayed in the Matrix Style Sheets screen.
Copy a Style Sheet
Create a duplicate of an existing style sheet. Then choose to edit the duplicate if required, this saves time.
To copy a style sheet, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Click in the style sheet you want to copy.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to copy this style sheet?
3. Select Yes.
A copy of the style sheet is displayed in the Matrix Style Sheets screen. You can now edit the copy as required.
Delete a Style Sheet
Remove a style sheet from the module. You can also choose to delete all of the style sheets in the Tracking Manager Module, if required. Be careful when deleting any style sheets which are already in use. Deleting style sheet alters the Tracking Models they are used in.
To delete a style sheet, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Either:
a) Click in the style sheet you want to delete. You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this style sheet?
b) Select Yes. Your selected style sheet is removed from the module.
or
a) Click . You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete all the styles sheets?
b) Select Yes.
All style sheets are removed from the module.
Export a Style Sheet
Export an XML file of your style sheet to save a backup file of it. This is useful if you have to re-install the Tracking Manager Module at any point. Your style sheets have to be setup again following a re-install.
To export a style sheet, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Click .
You are prompted Do you want to open or save stylesheets.xml...?
3. Open or Save the file as you require. The style sheet is exported as an XML document.
If you have selected to save the file, you are prompted when the download is complete.
Import a Style Sheet
Import an XML file of style sheets from an external source into the Tracking Manager Module. This is useful if you have had to re-install the Tracking Manager Module. Import the style sheets from your backup file.
To import a style sheet, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the right hand menu in the Configuration tab and select either:
Screen Style Sheets.
or
Print Style Sheets.
The Matrix Style Sheets screen is displayed.
2. Click .
The Upload Style Sheet window is displayed. An example is shown below:
3. Click Browse and select the file you want to import. The file you select must be an XML document.
4. Click .
You are prompted when the import is complete.
5. Click OK.
Your imported style sheet is listed in the style sheet screen.
