Use the Gradeset Objects option in the Configuration tab to translate numerical data linked to the Tracking Manager Module into gradesets. Apply Gradeset Objects in your Tracking Models so that columns have common values. This helps you to compare information gathered from different sources. The original data is still available to view in your Tracking Models.
Each Gradeset Object consists of Gradeset Elements. Use a different Gradeset Element for each range of values you want to grade in the Gradeset Object. For example, use a Gradeset Object to translate percentage results into grades. Setup the Gradeset Elements to list all gradeset values between '80 and 100' as a grade 'A', continue to setup Gradeset Elements for all percentage results.
An example of the Gradeset Objects screen is shown below:
Use the functions available in the Gradeset Objects screen to:
- Create a Gradeset Object. Choose to setup Gradeset Objects to be used by all Tracking Manager Module users (Global Objects) or setup your own Private Objects. Private Gradeset Objects can only be accessed by the user who has set them up. You can setup as many Gradeset Objects as you require to grade the different types of data used in the Tracking Manager Module.
- Add a Gradeset Element to a Gradeset Object. Each Gradeset Object consists of Gradeset Elements. Use a different Gradeset Element for each range of values you want to grade in the Tracking Manager Module.
- Use the Gradeset Wizard. The Gradeset Wizard takes you through steps to create a Gradeset Object and add Gradeset Elements to it. This ensures that you complete all the steps required to start using Gradeset Objects in your Tracking Models.
- Copy an Existing Gradeset Object. This duplicates an existing Gradeset Object which you can then edit to suit you. This saves time when you have different types of data that you want to grade in the same way.
- Edit and delete Gradeset Objects if you need to. See Edit a Gradeset Object and Delete a Gradeset Object for more information.
- Edit and delete Gradeset Elements. See Edit a Gradeset Element and Delete a Gradeset Element for more information.
- Arrange Gradeset Objects and Gradeset Elements. Change the order that these are displayed in the Tracking Manager Module. See Arrange Gradeset Objects and Arrange Gradeset Elements for more information.
- Export and import Gradeset Objects. Export the XML files of your Gradeset Objects to save an external backup of the Gradeset Objects you use. See Export a Gradeset Object and Import a Gradeset Object for more information.
Create a Gradeset Object
Create Gradeset Objects to translate numerical data into grades, marks or targets in your Tracking Models. It is useful to give numerical data a grading so that you can compare results from different sources.
