View the status of active devices used to access iSAMS mobile apps in the Manage Active Devices option. Use this to view the applications linked to users' devices and quickly unregister or delete all active devices.
If you experience problems connecting to the iSAMS server from a mobile device, you can unlink an app from a user's device to force reset the app on their device. Unregister all devices when you wish to uncouple all mobile devices from your iSAMS system and delete a device to remove its details from your system.
To use the Manage Active Devices option, follow the steps below:
- Select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet from iSAMS Control Panel.
The Current Status screen is usually displayed first when you select Mobile & Tablet Manager. - Select the Configuration tab at the top of the screen.
- Select the Manage Active Devices option from the menu to the right of the screen:
The Manage Active Devices screen is displayed: - Now choose to:
- Ban an active device. Use this to temporarily block access to iSAMS through an active device.
- Delete an active device. Use this to permanently remove all information of an active device from iSAMS.
- Unlink an active device from a mobile application. Use this to uncouple an application from a user's device. The device remains linked to the user account.
- Unregister a device from iSAMS. Use this to force request access to your iSAMS system from a user's device through the mobile app.
- Unregister all active devices. Use this to force request access to your iSAMS system from all user devices through the mobile app.
- Delete all active devices. Use this to permanently remove all information of all active devices from iSAMS.
