Unregister a device in the Manage Active Devices screen to rescind access to the iSAMS mobile apps on a user's device. Unregister a device to force the user to request registration of their device through the app. If a user no longer intends to access iSAMS from their device, you can unregister the device for security purposes. You or another administrative user can grant user access from mobile devices to the mobile app in the Manage Unregistered Devices option.
Manually registering devices for use adds an extra layer of security.
To unregister a user's device, follow the steps below:
- Select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet from iSAMS Control Panel.
The Current Status screen is usually displayed first when you select Mobile & Tablet Manager. - Select the Configuration tab at the top of the screen.
- Select the Manage Active Devices option from the menu to the right of the screen:
The Manage Active Devices screen is displayed: - Click next to the app name listed under the device you wish to unregister.
A popup window is displayed. You are prompted Are you sure you want to unregister this device? - Click Yes to unregister the device from the app. The device is now listed as unregistered in the Manage Unregistered Devices option.
