Use the External Data tab in the Tracking Manager Module to import external data into iSAMS. For example, a teacher can import non-standard assessment results into the Tracking Manager Module. Imported results can then be tracked alongside other compiled data. Also use the functions available to manage imported data.
Select the External Data Overview option from the right hand menu to view the External Data Status screen. This screen opens when you first access the External Data tab, it provides an overview of activity in the tab.
An example of the External Data Status screen is shown below:
Use the options available in the right hand menu to:
- Import external data into the Tracking Manager Module. See Importing External Data for more information.
- Manage data imports. Choose for imported to be active or arrange the order that imported data is listed in the Tracking Manager Module. See Manage Data Imports for more information.
- Archive any external data that is no longer required. Edit the Import Properties of an imported file and select No to Active Import. Inactive files are listed in Archive Data Imports.
