Use the Subject Adjustments options in the External Data tab to set weighting values for selected subjects. Apply weighting values to the results you import into iSAMS is optional. Use this if the results you are importing have been marked higher or lower than expected.
For example, add a high weighting value to English to devalue the imported grades. The high weighting value causes the results displayed in your Tracking Models to adjust to a lower grade.
To create a Subject Adjustment, follow the steps below:
1. Select the External Data tab and click the Subject Adjustment option in the right hand column.
The Subject Adjustments screen is displayed. An example is shown below:
2. Click in the top left of the screen.
The Create Adjustment window is displayed. An example is shown below:
3. Enter a clear and concise name for your Subject Adjustment. This is displayed when you select to apply a Subject Adjustment to a Data Import.
4. Scroll through the subjects displayed to locate the subject you want to adjust.
5. Enter a value in your selected subject. A value between 1.0 and 2.0 pulls the values in the imported data down. A value between 0 and 0.9 pulls the values in the imported data up. The default value of 1.0 leaves the values in the imported data unchanged.
6. Click Save & Close.
The Subject Adjustment is displayed in the Subject Adjustment screen. You can now apply the Subject Adjustment to Active Data Imports, as required.
You can choose to adjust results in Excel before you import them, if required. This negates to use of Subject Adjustments. |
