Use the Year Blocks tab in the School Manager module to view and manage school year blocks listed in iSAMS. Year group blocks must be set up to reflect your school structure when you use iSAMS for the first time. You can group related school years into Year Blocks.
They can be used as an alternative to recording pupils in school year groups. For example, you can create a 'Sixth Form' year block to group pupils who would otherwise be sorted under Year 12 and Year 13 year groups.
The Year Blocks tab is only displayed after you have activated it in the School Setup tab.
Choose to:
- Set up and edit year blocks. Create year blocks and assign a school year group to them, as required.
- Add or remove pupils from year blocks. This is useful for moving pupils between year blocks before the beginning of a new academic year.
- The print
and export 
functions are not currently in use.
