Manage Year Blocks

Use the Years Block tab in the School Manager module to add and edit year blocks. Use this when setting up iSAMS to match your school structure.

1. In the School Manager module, select the Year Blocks tab:
   

2. Choose to:

   Add a year block.

   Add as many blocks as you require, linking different year groups to blocks.

   1. Select Create Year Block from the header bar. A popup window is displayed:
      
   2. Enter a clear and concise name for the year block and a unique code.
   3. Use the Block Year dropdown list to select a year group to link to the block.
   4. Click Save Option.
      The year block is listed in the Year Blocks tab. 
   Edit a year block.

   Edit the blocks listed, for example to change the year group linked to each block.

   1. Click  by the year block you wish to edit.
      A popup window is displayed:
      
   2. Enter a clear and concise name for the year block and a unique code.
   3. Use the Block Year dropdown list to select a year group to link to the block.
   4. Click Save Option.
      The updated year block is listed in the Year Blocks tab.
   Delete a year block.

   Delete a year block that has been added in error.

   Deleting year blocks is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure that you only delete year blocks that are not in use.

   1. Click  next to the year block you wish to delete.
      A popup window is displayed.
      You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this Year Block?
   2. Click OK.
      The year block is permanently removed from iSAMS.
