Ban an unregistered device from accessing your iSAMS system using the Manage Unregistered Devices screen. This is useful for when a user's registered device has been stolen.
Ban a device to prevent any user from using the device to log back into iSAMS and retrieve sensitive data.
To ban an active device, follow the steps below:
- Select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet from iSAMS Control Panel.
The Current Status screen is usually displayed first when you select Mobile & Tablet Manager. - Select the Configuration tab at the top of the screen.
- Select the Manage Unregistered Devices option from the menu to the right of the screen:
The Manage Unregistered Devices screen is displayed: - Click next to the device you wish to ban.
A popup window is displayed. You are prompted Are you sure you want to ban this device? - Click Yes to ban the device from accessing your system through the iSAMS mobile apps.
Banned devices are removed from the Manage Unregistered Devices screen and listed in the Manage Banned Devices option. Devices can be unbanned if necessary.
