Group applicant feeder schools with common properties into School Groups.
For example, create a group of girls boarding schools and include all feeder schools which match the criteria. Simply select the girls boarding school group in the Custom Search screen when you want to contact all of those schools.
All feeder school groups are listed under the Manage School Groups option in the Marketing tab (Admissions module) and can be managed from here:
Choose to:
- Create a school group.
- Edit a school group. Edit the name, description or category for the school group.
- Delete a school group.
- Remove a school from a group.
- Feeder schools can be added to school groups either individually or in bulk to save time.
- School groups are used as a search tool for feeder schools in both the Admissions module and the Other Schools module.
Create a School Group
To create a school group, follow the steps below:
- Open the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select the Manage School Groups option from the right hand menu. The School Groups screen is displayed:
- Click Create a Group. A popup window is displayed:
- Enter a Group Name and Group Description for the new school group. Use a clear and concise name for the school group as this is displayed throughout the module.
- Use the Category field to determine how the new group is displayed in the Custom Search screen. School groups are listed together by category in the Custom Search screen.
Either:- Select a category from the drop down list.
or - Click to create a new category. Enter and save a new category in the popup window displayed.
- Select a category from the drop down list.
- Click Save & Close. You can now add feeder schools to the group.
Your school group is now listed in the School Groups screen and can be selected from the Custom Search screen:
Edit a School Group
To edit basic school group details, such as name, follow the steps below:
- Open the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select the Manage School Groups option from the right hand menu. The School Groups screen is displayed:
- Click on the school group that you want to edit and select Edit Group. A popup window is displayed:
- Edit the Group Name and Group Description for the school group. Use a clear and concise name for the school group as this is displayed throughout the module.
- Use the Category field to determine how the group is displayed in the Custom Search screen. School groups are listed together by category in the Custom Search screen.
Either:- Select a category from the drop down list.
or - Click to create a new category. Enter and save a new category in the popup window displayed.
- Select a category from the drop down list.
- Click Save & Close.
Your amended school group is now listed in the School Groups screen and can be selected from the Custom Search screen:
Delete a School Group
Remove a school group which is no longer required or has been added in error. All details of the school groups are deleted from iSAMS.
To delete a school group, follow the steps below:
- Open the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select the Manage School Groups option from the right hand menu. The School Groups screen is displayed:
- Click on the school group that you want to edit and select Delete Group. You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this custom group?
- Select Yes.
The school group is deleted.
Remove a School from a Group
This removes all links between the school and the school group, no record is kept.
- Open the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select the Manage School Groups option from the right hand menu. The School Groups screen is displayed:
- In the left hand tree, click to expand the school group that you want to work with.
- Click on the school that you want to remove from the group.
- Click Remove School From Group.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this school from this group? - Select Yes.
The school is removed from the group, no record is kept of the link.
