Group applicant feeder schools with common properties into School Groups.
For example, create a group of girls boarding schools and include all feeder schools which match the criteria. Simply select the girls boarding school group in the Custom Search screen when you want to contact all of these schools:
Choose to:
- Add a feeder school to a new group.
- Add a feeder school to an existing group.
- Remove a feeder school from a school group.
- All school groups are listed in the Manage School Groups option and can also be managed from here.
- Feeder schools can also be added to school groups in bulk to save time.
- School groups are also used as a search tool for feeder schools in the Other Schools module.
Add a Feeder School to a New Group
To add a school to a new group, follow the steps below:
- Select the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select Manage Schools from the right hand menu.
- Use the search tools to select the feeder school that you want to work with and click Search:
- Click on your selected school to display the school record:
- Select the School Groups tab and click Add to a New Group in the header bar. A popup window is displayed:
- Enter a Name and Description for the new school group. Use a clear and concise name for the school group as this is displayed throughout the module.
- Use the Category field to determine how the new group is displayed in the Custom Search screen. School groups are listed together by category in the Custom Search screen.
Either:- Select a category from the drop down list.
or - Click to create a new category. Enter and save a new category in the popup window displayed.
- Select a category from the drop down list.
- Click Save & Close.
Your selected school is now linked to new school group, which is listed in the Custom Search screen.
Add a Feeder School to an Existing Group
To add a school to an existing group, follow the steps below:
- Select the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select Manage Schools from the right hand menu.
- Use the search tools to select the feeder school that you want to work with and click Search:
- Click on your selected school to display the school record:
- Select the School Groups tab and click Add to Existing Group in the header bar. A popup window is displayed:
- Click on your selected school group. Hold Ctrl to make multiple selections, if required.
- Click Save Groups.
Your selected school is now linked to the school group, which is listed in the Custom Search screen.
Remove a feeder school from a school group
To remove a school from a group, follow the steps below:
- Select the Marketing tab in the Admissions module and select Manage Schools from the right hand menu.
- Use the search tools to select the feeder school that you want to work with and click Search:
- Click on your selected school to display the school record:
- Select the School Groups tab, an example is displayed below:
- Either:
- Click in your selected school group.
or - Click Remove From All Groups in the header bar.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this school from this group/ALL groups?
- Click in your selected school group.
- Select Yes.
The feeder school is removed from the school group.
