Once a user account has been created in the Pupil Portal Manager module, a number of functions are available for you to use. For example, if a portal user has forgotten their account password, you can reset their password from the Security tab. Users with administrative privileges can manage the properties and preferences of Pupil Portal user accounts. You can also view a user's portal activity from this tab.
To manage portal user accounts:
- Open the Pupil Portal Manager module and select the Security tab.
- Select the Manage Portal Users option from the right hand menu.
- Navigate through the user tree on the left hand side:
- Select a user account and choose the section that you want to work with:
- User Information. View the date when the account was created and updated. The date for when the user's password was last changed is also listed. You can also log users off from the Pupil Portal in this section.
- User Access and Links. View the access rights assigned to the account. Check that the user can access the Pupil Portal as expected and link the account to an iSAMS pupil record or family.
- Users Options and Tasks. Edit the account properties and preferences. View activity logs for the user account and access some security functions, such as disabling the account.
- User Management Options. Create additional user accounts and groups.
