Mobile app users can subscribe to notification channels to ensure that they receive notifications which are relevant to them. A number of channels are inbuilt in iSAMS; you can to edit these or your own custom channels. For example, change the description or enable/disable the channel for use.
To edit a push notification channel:
- Either:
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
or - Select Mobile & Tablet Manager from the module bar if the applet has been configured to display here.
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
Open the Notifications tab and select any of the four options listed under Notifications Channels in the right hand menu:
- Click in your selected channel. A popup window is displayed:
- Select the Channel Details tab and edit the Channel Name and Channel Display Name. Use a clear and concise name, you may want to use the same name for each of these. Channel Name is displayed when selecting a channel for sending a notification message.
- Enter a Channel Description and select 'Enabled' in Show Description what does this do?
- Set the Channel State to 'Enabled' to start using the channel.
- Click Save & Close.
The channel is listed in the Notification Channels options and (if enabled and active) can be selected when sending notification messages.
