Manage Sender Identities > Edit a Sender Identity

Use the Manage Sender Identities option to manage what is displayed in a recipient's caller ID when an SMS message is sent from iSAMS. Each sender identity is linked to a security group of iSAMS users.

To edit sender identities:

1. Select the iSAMS Control Panel from the left hand menu.
2. Select the SMS Gateway listed within the applets available.
3. Select Manage Sender Identities from the right hand menu to display this screen:
   
4. Click in your selected sender identity. The Edit Sender Identity window is displayed:
   
   Identity Type and Identity Value cannot be edited.
5. Use the 'Yes/No' drop downs to select whether the identity is:
   
   • Active. The identity must be marked as active to be used.
   • Default. Marking the identity as default can save time for the most used identity. This can be changed when a message is created if required.
6. The Identity Status section is controlled by iSAMS Support.
7. Select the Sender Security tab and select the security groups that this identity is to be linked to:
   
   
   • Use the checkboxes to select the security groups to link to this identity. More than one group can be selected here.
   • Use the radio buttons in the Default column to select a default if more than one identity is being applied to the group.
8. Click Save & Close.
