Use the Activities Options screen in the Features tab to link the Activities Manager module to the Parent Portal. This lets parents view a list of activities that their children are participating in through the Parent Portal. Parents can then keep track of their children's extra curricular events and schedules.
When this feature is enabled, activities associated with pupils linked to the Parent Portal Account are displayed in the 'Activities Record' screen under the 'School Profile' menu in the Parent Portal. Only activities that have been set to publish to the Parent Portal are displayed. You can make individual elements of the Activities Groups, Schedules and Events features visible to portal users using the Features tab in the Activities Manager module.
To display pupil's activity records in the Parent Portal, follow the steps below:
- In the Parent Portal Manager module, select the Features tab.
- Select Activities Options from the right hand menu. The Activities Options screen is displayed:
- In the Activities Status field, select 'Open' from the drop down list to make pupil activities features available from the Parent Portal.
- Either:
- Click Save Options when finished.
or - Click Reload Options to revert to previously saved settings.
- Click Save Options when finished.
