Use the Portal Access option in an applicant record to view activity on the portals available in iSAMS. This is useful for at a glance parent feedback in the Parent Portal. Also use this option to check activation numbers and passwords for portals.
The Parent Portal is different from the Admissions Portal. Admissions Portal access is available for anyone through your website portal widget.
To access the Parent Portal, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select a records tab:
- Search and select an applicant record to work with and select Portal Access from the right hand menu.
The Portal Access screen is displayed:
Parent Portal information is listed on the screen. Copy and paste Activation Information, such as the Activation Number and Activation Password, into external letters to be sent to the applicant's parents. Activation Information is required for parents to register for access to the Parent Portal.
