You may wish to add deposit types for users to choose from when managing fees in the Admissions module. Each deposit type can be assigned a different default amount. Use the Applicant Deposit Options screen to add and manage deposit types.
Access the Admissions Deposit Options screen from the Configuration tab. An example of the screen is shown below:

Deposits types can also be linked to Admissions Portal forms. This allows parents to pay their deposit fee online when they register a pupil with your school. See Create an Application Form for more information.
Add a Deposit Type
Add a deposit type for you to choose from the Admissions module. This is useful should your school charge a set fee for a service (for example an entrance fee) which you can record as having been paid in an applicant's record.
To add a deposit type, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Configuration tab.
- Select Admissions Deposit Options from the menu to the right of the screen.
The Applicant Deposit Options screen is displayed: - Click Add Deposit Type.
A popup window is displayed: - Specify a Name and Default Amount for the deposit type you wish to add.
- Click Save Deposit Type when finished.
The deposit type is listed in the Applicant Deposit Options screen.
Edit Deposit Type
Change the name and default amount for an existing deposit type. This is useful should you wish to update the default deposit amount to your school's current prices.
To edit a deposit type, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Configuration tab.
- Select Admissions Deposit Options from the menu to the right of the screen.
The Applicant Deposit Options screen is displayed: - Click next to the deposit type you wish to edit.
A popup window is displayed: - Edit the Name and Default Amount for the deposit type.
- Click Save Deposit Type when finished.
The updated deposit type is listed in the Applicant Deposit Options screen.
Delete a Deposit Type
Delete a deposit type, as required. Use this to remove deposit types that are not in use.
You cannot delete a deposit type that has already been used in an applicant record.
To delete a deposit type, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Configuration tab.
- Select Admissions Deposit Options from the menu to the right of the screen.
The Applicant Deposit Options screen is displayed: - Click next to the deposit type you wish to delete.
A popup window is displayed. You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this deposit type? - Make the appropriate selection.
The selected deposit type is removed from the Admissions module.
