Use the BaseData tab in the External Exams Manager module to import BaseData from exam boards and manage exam programme details. Imported data is used in exam programmes, linking qualifications and components to the subject programmes in your school.
The BaseData tab has a number of options for you to work with:
- Current Programmes. Manage the programmes that link BaseData to subjects currently taught in your school.
- Private Programmes. Manage the programmes that link BaseData to subjects not taught in your school but have private candidates using your school as an exam centre.
- Archived Programmes. Lists programmes that are no longer in use in your school.
- Import New BaseData. Select this option to import BaseData when you first start working with the BaseData tab.
- View Imported BaseData. Displays all imported subjects, qualifications and components (papers and assessments). The fee for each paper is also shown here.
- BaseData History. View all BaseData imports for your selected exam cycle.
- Create Custom BaseData. Custom BaseData must be created if you intend to add any new syllabus and qualifications not listed by JCQ, such as IB. It is also useful for non UK based schools who want to run CIE programmes and qualifications.
- Always check that you are working in the correct exam cycle.
- Select Import New BaseData when you first starting working with the BaseData tab or are working in a new exam cycle.
