Use the Comparison & Conversion options in the Status tab to view read-only statistics for admissions to your school. Statistics are based on applicant information recalled from their applicant record. For example, view the number of enquiries that have successfully led to a new pupil registration at your school over a period of time.
To view admissions statistics, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Status tab.
- Select an option under Comparison and Conversion from the menu to the right of the screen:
- Feeder Schools Conversion. Statistics sorted by each applicant's last-attended school.
- Enquiry Method Conversion. Statistics sorted by method of enquiry, such as telephone call enquiries.
- Enquiry Reason Conversion. Statistics sorted by reason for enquiry, such as enquiring for open day information.
- Academic Year Conversion. Statistics sorted by academic year groups that applicants wish to join. This is useful for measuring demand for entry to each year group.
- Admissions Year Conversion. Statistics sorted by the admission year that applicants have applied for entry, such as '2013'.
A graphical representation of data is also displayed in the Academic Year Conversion and Admissions Year Conversion screens:
- Use the Enquiries From and Enquiries To fields in the top-right of the screen to set a timeframe for viewing enquiries.
- Use the filters to narrow the statistics results by Admissions Year, Admission Year Group and Admission Boarding House.
The statistics for your selection are displayed. For example, in the Feeder School Conversion screen, the number of enquiries from applicants currently attending a feeder school such as 'All Saints' CE Primary School' is listed:
Of the 33 enquiries made during the time period:- 2 have attended school visits (with 2 visits arranged for future dates),
- 20 have registered their interest in joining the school,
- There have been 2 places offered to applicants,
- There have been 3 withdrawals from the admissions process,
- There have been 3 offers refused by applicants,
- There have been 6 place offers accepted.
Statistics are based on information entered into related fields in pupil records:
Column Explanation Related Fields in Pupil Records Enquiries The number of enquiries made to your school over the time period. School Year on Entry in General tab. Visitors The number of applicants that have attended visits to your school over the time period. The figure indicated in brackets refers to the number of arranged visits over the time period. This may differ if visitors have not turned up as arranged.
Visits listed in Visits tab. Registration The number of applicants who have registered their interest in joining your school. Registered Date in General tab. Offers The number of offers made to applicants over the time period. Offer Type in General tab. Withdrawals The number of applicants that have withdrawn from the admissions process over the time period. Withdrawn Date in Archive tab. Refusals The number of applicants that have refused offers of entry over the time period. Rejected Date in Archive tab. Accepted The number of applicants that have accepted offers of entry over the time period. System Status in School tab (not available in applicant records).
