Use the Synchronise Timetable function in the Timetable Manager module to synchronise information held in the Timetable Manager module and the Teaching Manager module. Teaching sets are setup in the Teaching Manager module with primary and associated teachers for statistics and reporting purposes. When you import a timetable into iSAMS this information is not automatically transferred to the Teaching Manager module, Synchronise Timetables does this for you in one quick step.
The teacher who is allocated to a teaching set the most in the timetable is assigned as the primary teacher for that teaching set. All other teachers who teach that set are setup as associated teachers. For teaching sets which do not have a prominent teacher, the primary teacher is assigned randomly.
Do not use the Synchronise Timetables function during a report cycle, as it may cause discrepancies in reports.
To synchronise the Timetable Manager module and the Teaching Manager module, follow the steps below:
- Open the Timetable Manager module and select the timetable tab that you want to work with:
- Select the Useful Timetable Tools from the right hand menu and select the Synchronise Timetable tab:
- Click Run.
A warning is displayed:
- Select Yes.
