Review and Update a Doctor's Details

Use the Doctors & Surgeries tab in the Medical Centre module to search for, review and update doctors's details. You can also delete any out of date details from the module.

First you must search for a doctor's details, two methods are available to you. They both work in a similar way. Use either:

• Custom Search.
  or
• Doctor List.

Using the Custom Search

1. Open the Medical Centre module and select the Doctors & Surgeries tab:
   
2. Click Custom Search.
3. Select the Custom Doctor Search tab:
   
4. Enter a search term in the Doctor Surname and Forename fields and click Search.
   The list of current doctors is displayed:
   
5. Click Filters in the bottom left of the screen to use the surname filter. This is useful if there are a high number of doctors listed.
6. Click on a letter to list only doctors whose surnames start with that letter:
   
7. Doctor records can be deleted at this stage, if required.
8. Click on the doctor's record that you want to work with.
9. You can now update the doctor's record, if required.

Using the Doctor List

1. Open the Medical Centre module and select the Doctors & Surgeries tab:
   
2. Click Doctor List:
   
3. Either:
   
   • Click on a letter to search for a doctor by surname.
   • or
   • Click All in the top left of the screen to display all doctors:
     
4. Doctor records can be deleted at this stage, if required.
5. Click on the doctor's record that you want to work with.
6. You can now update the doctor's record, if required.

Delete a Doctor's Record

1. Use the checkboxes to select the doctor's records that you want to delete:
   
2. Select Delete Selected from the pink drop-down list in the top right of the screen.
   You are prompted Are you sure you want to remove the selected doctors from the database?
3. Select Yes.
   The selected doctor's details are removed. No record of this action is kept in the Audit Log.

Update a Doctor's Record

1. Amend the doctor's name, if necessary.
2. Update the surgery details as required. Be aware that any changes made will also automatically update surgery records.
3. Click Update Record.
4. Click on another record in the right hand menu to display another doctor and update their details if required:
