Review and Update a Surgery's Details

Use the Doctors & Surgeries tab in the Medical Centre module to search for, review and update surgery details. You can also delete any out of date details from the module.

First you must search for a surgery's details, two methods are available to you. They both work in a similar way. Use either:

• Custom Search.
  or
• Surgery List.

 Using the Custom Search

1. Open the Medical Centre module and select the Doctors & Surgeries tab:
   
2. Click Custom Search.
3. Select the Custom Surgery Search tab:
   
4. Enter a search term in the Surgery Name, Address Line 1 or Postcode fields and click Search.
   The list of current surgeries is displayed:
   
5. Click Filters in the bottom left of the screen to use the name filter. This is useful if there are a high number of surgeries listed.
6. Click the first letter of the name of the surgery you want to view:
   
7. Surgery records can be deleted at this stage, if required.
8. Click on the surgery record that you want to work with.
9. You can now update the surgery record, if required.

Using the Surgery List

1. Open the Medical Centre module and select the Doctors & Surgeries tab:
   
2. Click Surgery List:
   
3. Either:
   
   • Click on a letter to search for a surgery by the first letter of the name of the surgery.
   • or
   • Click All in the top left of the screen to display all surgeries:
     
4. Surgery records can be deleted at this stage, if required.
5. Click on the surgery record that you want to work with.
6. You can now update the surgery record, if required.

Delete a Surgery Record

1. Use the checkboxes to select the surgery records that you want to delete.
   
2. Select Delete Selected from the pink drop-down list in the top right of the screen.
   You are prompted Are you sure you want to remove the selected surgeries from the database?
3. Select Yes.
   The selected surgery details are removed. No record of this action is kept in the Audit Log.

Update a Surgery Record

1. Amend the surgery name, if necessary.
2. Update the surgery details as required.
3. Click Update Record.
4. Click on another record in the right hand menu to display another surgery and update their details if required:
