Use the Audit Viewer applet in Control Panel to:
- View logs of recent changes made to selected iSAMS modules. Select the module that you want to work with and the audit information that you want to view. For example, select to view Timetable Manager and list changes made to the prep timetable.
- View usage statistics for parent and pupil portals. This is useful for managing traffic, tracking access and addressing errors in the parent and pupil portals.
- Check for and remove errors in the Digital Signage Manager. View and erase server and client errors relating to the Digital Signage Manager.
View Audit Logs
Audit information is listed in the same format for each module available in Audit Viewer. An overview is listed for each module, this provides:
- The current status of logging (not available for all modules).
- A count of changes.
- A summary of recent changes.
To view audit information, follow the steps below:
- Select the Audit Viewer applet from Control Panel.
- Select a module using the drop down menu in the top right of the screen:
The Logging Overview/Status option is displayed for your selected module:
The options menu on the right hand of the screen is context-sensitive; the options change depending on the module you are auditing. For example, a News Audit option appears when you select News Manager to audit. - Use the Reload Status button to refresh all audit information listed. You may want to do this to clear logs for the start of the academic year or to free up memory space.
- Select an option from the right hand menu to display audit information in detail. An example of the screen displayed is shown below:
The description of each change is logged next to its date and time, and the username associated with it. - Click Print Audit to work with a hard copy of your selected audit.
