Use the Tutors tab in the School Manager module to add and edit pastoral tutors.
Pastoral, or personal tutors, are responsible for pupil guidance and support and are separate from other teaching staff. However, if a teaching staff member also has pastoral duties you may add them here. Teaching staff that have already been specified as a 'Personal Tutor' in their staff record are automatically listed in the Tutors tab.
- In the School Manager module, select the Tutors tab:
Choose to:
Add as many pastoral tutors as you require. You can then assign pupils to each pastoral tutor.
Before you can add staff as pastoral tutors, they must have a teaching staff record in iSAMS. See Add Staff for more information on adding teaching staff records.
- Select Create Tutor from the header bar.
A popup window is displayed:
- Use the drop down list to select a current staff user.
- Click Save Option.
The pastoral tutor is listed in the Tutors tab.
Remove a pastoral tutor, for example if a staff member no longer has pastoral duties or if a staff member has been added as a pastoral tutor in error.
- Click
by the tutor you wish to remove.
A popup window is displayed.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this Tutor? - Click OK.
The pastoral tutor is removed.
- Select Create Tutor from the header bar.
