Use the Timetable Issues and Warnings option in the Timetable Manager module to resolve any errors in your timetable. Errors can be missing information in the structure and content of your timetable.
Errors must be resolved before you start using your timetable. Ignoring them can cause statistics to be inaccurate and lesson information to be incomplete on your timetable.
To resolve timetable issues and warning, follow the steps below:
- Open the Timetable Manager module and select the timetable tab that you want to work with:
If errors are present in your selected timetable, a warning popup is displayed. - Click OK on the popup and select the Timetable Issues and Warnings option in the right hand menu:
There are two tabs available for you to work with (the number of issues and warnings to resolve is shown in brackets):- Timetable Structure. These are problems relating to the periods in your timetable, such as a missing start and end time.
- Orphaned Teaching Groups. Lessons which have not been allocated to teaching groups or lessons without teaching staff are listed here. You can edit the lesson and add a teaching group, teacher and room.
Teaching Structure Errors
- Select the Timetable Structure tab if issues and warnings are indicated.
- Click in a highlighted field and enter the missing information:
- Click Save Periods to save any changes you have made. Click to go back to previous saved settings, if required.
The timetable structure is passed once you have corrected and saved all the structure errors which are present in the timetable.

Orphaned Teaching Groups
- Select the Orphaned Teaching Groups tab if issues and warnings are indicated.
An example of this tab is displayed below: - Either:
- Click to delete the lesson. This is recommended if there is no teaching set or form allocated to the lesson.
or - Click to edit a lesson. Click here for help editing a lesson.
or - Recreate a teaching group in the Teaching Manager module. Do this when the teaching group in your timetable is not recognised.

- You are now ready to start using your timetable.
