In the Timetable Manager module room warnings refer to the coded information being imported into your timetable. Coded information held in your existing timetable may not be recognised by iSAMS. This may occur when a lesson you are trying to import has no room assigned to it or the Estates Manager module in iSAMS does not hold the same room codes as the timetable you are importing.
These codes can be edited from this screen. This saves time having to amend timetable information in the Estates Manager module.
To resolve room problems, follow the steps below:
- Start the timetable import and continue to the Import Timetable - Version 2 screen:
- Select Resolve next to Room Warnings to resolve room code problems.
An example of the window displayed is shown below: - Choose from one of the options available to resolve the problem:
- Ignore. This leaves the lesson with no room assigned to it. Lessons do not have to be assigned to a room, so the period it is allocated to is classed as useable.
- Create as New Room. Use this to create a completely new room. This is only available when the room code displayed has not been identified in iSAMS. This provides a short cut to changing room information in the Estates Manager module.
- Replace the room with an existing room code. All references to the previous code will be replaced with the room code selected. Use this when you know that a room code has been revised.
- Click Close to return to the Import Timetable - Version 2 screen.
