Use the Bulk Printing tab in the Report Printing module to print reports in bulk. The reports you select to print are generated in a single document. This is useful for printing all end of term reports at the same time.
Use Portal Publishing to generate pupil reports as individual files. This is useful for emailing individual pupil reports to parents.
- Before you use the Report Printing module you must provide iSAMS with an 'Output report template' for printed and downloaded reports. The template should include your preferred layout of school reports and any additional items, such as the school crest. Contact the Help Desk for more information on 'Output report templates'.
- The 'Output report templates' differ from the 'Input report templates' set up in the Reports Manager module.
To print reports in bulk, follow the steps below:
- In the Report Printing module, select the Bulk Printing tab:
- Select an 'Output report template' from the Printing Template drop down list. Ensure that the template you select includes the same fields as the reports you want to print. For example, if you want to print reports which include a field for 'Effort Grades' your template must contain a field for 'Effort Grades'.
- Select a Cycle Type and Report Cycle. Only completed reports from the selected report cycle are printed.
- Either:
- Use the drop down lists in Printing Filters to select the pupil reports that you want to print. Making no selections in Printing Filters leads to all pupil reports being printed. Reports for pupils leaving the school will be printed as well, even when they are marked as a former pupil.
or - Start typing a pupil name in the Individual Pupil field and select a pupil from the drop down list.
- Use the drop down lists in Printing Filters to select the pupil reports that you want to print. Making no selections in Printing Filters leads to all pupil reports being printed. Reports for pupils leaving the school will be printed as well, even when they are marked as a former pupil.
- Check Include former Students to include former pupils in the report.
- Select a Printing Order for reports. This is a useful sorting tool when you are printing large volumes of reports.
- Select a Report Format for printing. PDF is recommended for printed reports. Select Report Preview to preview reports on-screen before printing in PDF.
- Click Produce Reports.
- Download, open or save the reports, when prompted.
- Print reports, as required, in your selected format.
