All news stories have to be authorised via the News Manager module before they are included in the School News feature in the Parent Portal.
- If the news story author has authorisation privileges set in the News Manager module, the story is authorised by default as part of the creation process, i.e. set as active. In this case, no further action is required. The item will be included in the School News feature of the Parent Portal and News Manager module.
- If the news story author does not have authorisation privileges, then another user with sufficient privileges must authorise them from the News Manager module.
To authorise a news story:
- Select the News Manager module.
- Locate and select the news story you want to authorise in the Awaiting Authorisation tab.
- Click
Set News StoryActive.
To remove authorisation from a previously authorised news story:
- Open the School News option in the Parent Portal Manager.
- Locate and select the news story you wish to unauthorise in the News Manager tab.
- Click Set News Story Inactive.
