Mobile app users can subscribe to notification channels to ensure that they receive notifications which are relevant to them. A number of channels are inbuilt in iSAMS, you can select whether channels are displayed in apps and whether app users are auto subscribed to them.
To edit push channel in-app features:
- Either:
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
or - Select Mobile & Tablet Manager from the module bar if the applet has been configured to display here.
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
Open the Notifications tab and select any of the four options listed under Notifications Channels in the right hand menu:
Click in your selected channel to display a popup window and select the Channel Apps tab:
Use the checkboxes to select the apps that you want the channel to be listed in.
Use the drop downs and checkboxs to set features for the channel:
Column Explanation Group what is this for? Auto Subscribe Check the box for app users to automatically subscribe to the channel and receive notifications. Active Check the box for the channel to be active for the selected app.
Hidden Check the box for the channel to be hidden in the selected app. This could be useful for channels that are still being developed. - Click Save & Close.
The channel is listed in the Notification Channels options and (if enabled and active) can be selected when sending notification messages.
