All iSAMS users are linked to at least one push notifications security group.
When you delete a security group, any users linked to the deleted group have messaging privileges governed by the next security group they are linked to in the list.
The order that security groups are listed determines notification functions for iSAMS users if they are linked to more than one group. The security groups work in a top down method. Users linked to more than one group have their security privileges assigned from the security group that they are linked to which is displayed highest in the list. The 'Default Security Group' is always shown at the bottom of the list; it cannot be moved or deleted.
For example, if the 'Admin' group is deleted in the example below then all user security permissions are drawn from the 'Default Security Group'.
To delete a notification security group:
- Either:
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
or - Select Mobile & Tablet Manager from the module bar if the applet has been configured to display here.
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
- Select Push Group Management from the right hand menu to display this screen:
- Click in your selected security group.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this security group? - Select Yes.
The security group is removed.
