Generate a Daily Cover Report if you want to report on cover arrangements for a selection of dates, for example a term or week. This is useful if you want to analyse cover data over a period of time.
To generate a Daily Cover Report, follow the steps below:
- Open the Cover Manager module.
- Select any of the following tabs:
- Cover Status.
- Manage Cover.
- Reports.
- Click Daily Cover Report from the right hand menu.
An example of the screen displayed is shown below: Complete the sections available to produce the report that you need:

Report Type
This defaults to select the Master Cover Timetable. This is the only report currently available.
Date Filters and Ranges
This defaults to select today's date.
To change the default selection,
Either:- Select Term Dates for the report from the drop down list.
or - Select a Start/End Date for the report.
Report Options
Choose how cover arrangements are grouped in the report:
- Cover Teacher. Use this to review cover commitments for individual teachers.
- Absent Teacher. Use this to check the status of lessons for absent teachers and whether they still need to have cover allocated.
- Period. Use this to review covers arranged for each period in your timetable.
You can change your selection once you have generate your report, if required.
Report Format
This defaults to generate the report in HTML format. This is the only format currently available.
- Select Term Dates for the report from the drop down list.
Click Run Report to generate the report. Use Reload Report to refresh the screen with default selections.
The Master Cover Timetable report is displayed. Publication Notes are listed next to each day, if they are being used.

Explanation
Print a copy of the Master Cover Timetable for your records.
Click if you only want to display published cover. This is useful for checking confirmed cover arrangements.
Click to hide dates with no cover arrangements. This saves space if you have generated a report for an entire term.
Click to introduce a page break between dates in the report. Use this to clarify the information displayed when you have a high number of cover arrangements.
Choose how cover arrangements are grouped in the report.
- Cover Teacher. Use this to review cover commitments for individual teachers.
- Absent Teacher. Use this to check the status of lessons for absent teachers and whether they still need to have cover allocated.
- Period. Use this to review covers arranged for each period in your timetable.
Click on Teacher Initials/Staff Code in a selected period box to display the Staff Information Window. Contact staff members directly from this screen, if required. See Staff Information Window for more information.
