Manage IP Restrictions in the API Services Manager to limit access to iSAMS from selected IP addresses. This ensures that access to iSAMS is fully traceable.
Choose to:
- Create Global IP Restrictions. This ensures that access to iSAMS is fully traceable.
- Edit Global IP Restrictions. This ensures that access to iSAMS by third parties is kept up-to-date.
- Delete Global IP Restrictions. Delete IP restrictions which are no longer required.
Create Global IP Restrictions
Setup IP Restrictions in the API Services Manager to limit access to iSAMS from selected IP addresses. This ensures that access to iSAMS is fully traceable.
To setup IP Restrictions, follow the steps below:
- In the iSAMS Control Panel Module, select the API Services Manager applet.
- Select Manage API Service Security from the right hand menu.
The Manage API Service Security screen is displayed. - Select the IP Restrictions tab. All IP addresses with access to iSAMS are listed here:
- Click Create IP Entry. A popup window is displayed:
- In IP Address Access choose to either:
- 'Allow Access' to the IP address/es you enter.
or - 'Deny Access' to the IP address/es you enter.
- 'Allow Access' to the IP address/es you enter.
- In IP Address Type choose either:
- 'Specific IP Address'.
or - 'IP Address Range'. This can save time if you want to enter a number of consecutive IP addresses.
- 'Specific IP Address'.
- In the IP Address Details section, enter the IP address/es you want to allow or deny access to iSAMS.
- Click Save & Close.
Your entry is displayed in the IP Restrictions tab.
Edit Global IP Restrictions
Edit IP Restrictions in the API Services Manager as required. This ensures that access to iSAMS is kept up-to-date.
To edit IP Restrictions, follow the steps below:
- In the iSAMS Control Panel Module; select the API Services Manager applet.
- Select Manage API Service Security from the right hand menu.
The Manage API Service Security screen is displayed. - Select the IP Restrictions tab. All IP addresses with access to iSAMS are listed here:
- Click in your selected entry. A popup window is displayed:
- In IP Address Access choose to either:
- 'Allow Access' to the IP address/es listed.
or - 'Deny Access' to the IP address/es listed.
- 'Allow Access' to the IP address/es listed.
- In IP Address Type choose either:

To delete IP Restrictions, follow the steps below:
- In the iSAMS Control Panel Module, select the API Services Manager applet.
- Select Manage API Service Security from the right hand menu.
The Manage API Service Security screen is displayed. - Select the IP Restrictions tab. All IP addresses with access to iSAMS are listed here:
- Click in your selected entry.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this API Key IP Restriction? - Select Yes.
The entry is removed.
