Select a user account using the User Tree View to view information related to the user. The User Information section displays an overview of updates related to the account and its current status. Use this to oversee and quickly analyse the use of all user accounts linked to your iSAMS system.
You can also force a user account to sign out of iSAMS from this section, which is useful should a user forget to log out of iSAMS or you suspect the user account to be in use by unauthorised personnel.
To access the User Information section, follow the steps below:
- Select the User Accounts applet from Control Panel.
- Select an existing user account from the tree to the left of the screen:
View the information listed in the User Information section:
Display Icon Explanation Lists if the account is linked with Active Directory. The account creation date. The time and date that the account was last updated and by whom. The time and date that the account's password was last changed. Shows when the user is currently logged in to iSAMS. You can choose to force a user to log off; you may wish to do this for security reasons. The module the user is currently accessing. The time and date that the user was last active and their corresponding IP address is also listed.
Force User Logoff
Use the User Information section of a user account to log users off remotely. You can use this feature to log inactive users out of iSAMS should they forget to log out of the system. Alternatively, this can be used to prevent unauthorised personnel from accessing iSAMS should they be logged into the system already.
To force a user to log out of iSAMS, follow the steps below:
- Select the User Accounts applet from Control Panel.
- Select an existing user account from the tree to the left of the screen:
- Click the Force User Logoff link in the User Information section.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to forcefully log this user off? - Make the appropriate selection.
The user is now logged out of iSAMS.
