Statistics Viewer – iSAMS Support Centre SANDBOX

View whole system and portal statistics from the Audit Viewer applet in Control Panel. You can select to view the whole system framework statistics or choose areas of iSAMS to view, such as the Parent Portal. Usage and accessibility statistics are listed. You can also view accessibility errors and background running statistics. This is useful for compiling information about how iSAMS is being used over time and system maintenance.

To view system statistics, follow the steps below:

Select the Statistics Viewer applet from Control Panel.
Use the drop down menu in the top right of the screen to select to view either the:
- iSAMS Framework
  or
- an iSAMS Portal.

Select the Framework or Portal Statistics option that you want to work with from the right hand menu. The options listed are the same for all sections in the drop-down menu.

The options available in the Statistics category are explained below:

Option	Explanation
Statistics Summary	Monitor usage of the module from the last 24 hours, 7 days or month. View a summary of page views, visitors and bandwidth. Click Reload Summary to show up-to-date statistics.
Hits by Time - Day	View daily records of visitors, pages, hits and bandwidth use by days in a month. Use this to compare performance statistics between different days in months, for example first days of each month against 30th day of each month. A graph is also displayed showing the number of hits across days. Click Reload Day Breakdown to show up-to-date statistics.
Hits by Time - Weekday	View daily records of pages, hits and bandwidth use by weekday. Use this to compare portal performance between different days in weeks, for example Monday against Wednesday. A graph is also displayed showing the number of hits across weekdays. Click Reload Weekday Breakdown to show up-to-date statistics.
Hits by Time - Time	View a record of pages, hits and bandwidth use by hour. Use this to compare portal performance between different hours of the day, for example 10:00 to 10:59 against 16:00 to 16:59. A graph is also displayed showing the number of hits across hourly intervals. Click Reload Time Breakdown to show up-to-date statistics.
Hits by Who	View a record of: Top 10 Users. Log of usernames (with e-mail addresses) alongside the maximum and average time durations spent in the module, total bandwidth used and number of hits. Top 10 IP Addresses. Log of IP addresses alongside its country of origin, maximum and average time durations, total bandwidth used and number of hits. Top 10 Browsers. Log of browsers alongside total bandwidth used and number of hits. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
Navigation	View a record of how users access the system or specific portal and who is referring to it: Top 10 Hits by URL. Log of the 10 most popular iSAMS URLs by hits. Top 10 Referrals. Log of the 10 most popular referral URLs by hits. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
Content Usage	View a record of hits by extension code. A graph is also displayed showing the number of hits with extension. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
Errors & Problems	View a record of: Missing Pages and Broken Links. Log of URL, referrer and hits. Server Errors. Log of URL, error descriptions and hits. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
Bandwidth Usage	View a record of traffic activity. Traffic activity is logged using graphs. Bandwidth usage is recorded by: Hour. Day. Week Day. Month. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
Other Statistics	View a record of background activities used: Hits by Status Code. Log of IIS status code and hits. A graph is also displayed showing this data. Hits by Method. Log of method with number of hits. A graph is also displayed showing this data. Processing Time by Hour. Graph showing processing time (in milliseconds) by hourly interval. Processing Time by Day. Graph showing processing time (in milliseconds) by day of the month. Click Reload Statistics to show up-to-date statistics.
