Change the configuration used to link iSAMS to your server in the Platform Configuration applet in Control Panel. Your network manager configures these settings when iSAMS is first set up. Only change these settings when your organisation changes server. You can also provide your administrator's contact details to be shown to users who encounter an error when using iSAMS.
To change the system configuration, follow the steps below:
- Open the iSAMS Control Panel module and select the Platform Configuration applet.
The Platform Configuration screen is displayed: - Use the Address Information section to specify web addresses for accessing iSAMS.
- Internal iSAMS Address. Users on your local network use this address to access iSAMS.
- External iSAMS Address. Users access iSAMS over the internet using this address.
- Enter the contact details of your iSAMS administrator, such as their e-mail address, in the Administrator Information section.
- Use the Currency Information section to determine the currency that is used in iSAMS.
- Enter a Currency Symbol and Code. In the example above we have entered '£' and 'GBP'.
- Specify the Number of Decimal Places your currency requires.
- The Client Information section can only be edited by iSAMS.
- Use the Server Information section to specify the details needed to identify your host server, such as the server IP address.
- Upload the school logo in the Upload School Crest section.
- Click Save Configuration when finished. To revert to previously saved settings, click Reload Configuration.
