Use the Forecasts tab in the External Exams Manager module to enter each candidate's forecast grades. Forecast grades can then be forwarded to exam boards. Not all options require a forecast grade to forward to exam boards, this is determined by the imported BaseData for the exam cycle you are working with.
- Always check that you are working in the correct exam cycle; the BaseData containing exam programme details is specific to each exam cycle.
- Gradesets must be imported in to iSAMS before you start working with forecast grades.
- Forecast grades can only be entered for the options that candidates have been entered for in the Entries tab.
The Forecasts tab has a number of options in the right hand menu for you to work with:
| Option Category | Option | Use to... |
|---|---|---|
| View Forecast Grades | Programme Forecasts | View and enter forecast grades by searching through the exam programmes available in your selected cycle. This option is useful for entering forecast grades in bulk for a selected exam option. |
| Candidate Forecasts | Search for a specific candidate, form group or house and view their forecast grades.
| |
| EDI Forecast Grades | Create Forecast File | Create an EDI file once all forecast grades have been entered and checked for your exam programmes. Once created EDI files can then be uploaded to the appropriate exam board. |
| EDI Forecast History | View and download any of the EDI forecast files that have been created for the selected exam cycle. | |
| Forecast Reports | Candidate Forecast Report | Run a report to check candidate forecast grades across all exam programmes in a selected exam cycle. This is useful for distributing to candidates and parents for checking before the EDI file is created. |
| Option Forecast Report | Run a report to check candidate forecast grades for a specific exam programme or option in a selected exam cycle. This is useful for distributing to staff for checking before the EDI file is created. |
