Use the Admissions module to convert applicants to entrance exam candidates. Choose to automatically assign exam numbers to applicants. This is useful for preparing your records before applicants are due to sit your school's entrance exam.
To prepare applicant records ready for entrance exams, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Applicant tab.
- Use your preferred search method to find the applicant records that you want to work with. See Searching for Applicant and Parent Records for more information on searching for applicant records. The Applicant Records List is displayed:
- Use the checkboxes next to each Applicant's Name to select the applicant records that you want to edit. Check the box in the header bar to select all the records displayed.
- In the pink drop down list select Create Exam Candidates.
The Create Exam Candidates screen is displayed: Select the check box to automatically assign an internal exam number to pupils who have not been allocated an exam number.
Internal exam numbers are required for identification purposes. You must either select the check box or assign an internal exam number manually in their applicant record.
- Click Save & Close when finished.
You are prompted Are you sure you want to import these pupils as entrance exam candidates? - Make the appropriate selection.
The import is complete, your selected applicants have been converted to exam candidates. You can view candidate's assigned internal exam numbers in the Exams tab.
