Use the Logging tab to view all entries and amendments made in the Tracking Manager Module. This provides a useful audit trail helping you to track changes that have been made to different parts of the module.
When you first open the Logging tab, the Logging Status screen is displayed. An example of the Logging Status screen is shown below:
The Logging Status screen indicates the current status of the iSAMS server and provides an overview of entries which have been made in the module.
The sections in the Logging Status screen are explained below:
Section | Explanation |
Current Server Status | The status of the iSAMS server is indicated here. Contact the Help Desk if the message displayed indicates that the server is not working correctly. |
Logging & Error Overview | A breakdown of the number of entries made to different parts of the module is displayed. This is a useful overview to see where changes have been made in the module. |
Module Audit | The most recent entries in the module are listed. This is useful for an 'at-a-glance' audit, the username, date and time of the entry are listed. Click on a username to display the User Information window and contact the user directly from the screen. |
Use the right hand audit menu to see more detailed audit information for each part of the module. The number displayed in brackets is the number of entries in the audit. Entries are logged as an Update, Add or Delete action. Some basic details of the entry are listed, such as the area of the module the action was made and the user who made the entry.
The audits available in the right hand menu are listed according to the tab they relate to:
- Model Auditing. For example, changes to Tracking Models and Model Charts. See Model Auditing for more information.
- External Data Auditing. For example, all changes made to imported files are listed. See External Data Auditing for more information.
- Configuration Auditing. For example, updates to style sheets and new Sorting Objects. See Configuration Auditing for more information.
