Use the Security tab in the Pupil Portal Manager module to enable SSL security authentication in the Portal SSL Options screen. SSL security encrypts connections and information transferred between pupils' browsers and your Pupil Portal. Use this if you have a valid SSL certificate for your Pupil Portal.
To enable SSL security, follow the steps below:
- In the Pupil Portal Manager module, select the Security tab.
- Select
Portal SSL Options from the right hand menu.
The Portal SSL Options screen is displayed:
- Complete the fields displayed:
- SSL Available. Select 'Yes' from the drop-down list to enable SSL security for the Pupil Portal.
- SSL Connection Only. Select 'Yes' to force all connections to the Pupil Portal to use SSL security.
- Click Save Options when finished.
