Emergency broadcasts provide a quick way of sending messages to multiple users in an emergency, such as an evacuation. Use the Emergency Broadcast Settings option to configure emergency broadcast for use.
To set up emergency broadcasts:
- Select the iSAMS Control Panel from the left hand menu.
- Select the SMS Gateway listed within the applets available.
- Select Emergency Broadcast Settings from the right hand menu.
The option opens on the Broadcast Settings tab:
- Use the drop downs to configure the emergency broadcast function for use.
- Use Emergency Broadcast. Select 'Yes'.
- Emergency Broadcast Options. Select 'Yes' for the each of the contact types that you want to be able to send emergency broadcasts to; student contact (parents), student and teacher. A description of these settings is shown on screen.
- Click Save Settings.
