Using the Noticeboard

Use the Noticeboard tab in the Reports Manager module to create and manage messages for report writers. These messages, or report notices, are displayed in the Reports module and the Assessment module when a reports cycle is selected.

Report notices are useful for communicating report writing deadlines to teachers.

1. In the Reports Manager module, select the Noticeboard tab:
   

2. Choose to:

   Create a report notice.

   1. Click Create Notice in the top left of the Report Noticeboard screen.
      The Create Notice window is displayed:
      
   2. Select a Publishing Date. The report notice starts to display on this date.
   3. Select an Archive Date. The report notice is removed from display on this date.
   4. Use the checkboxes available to select where you want to display this report notice.
   5. Enter a clear and concise Notice Title. This is displayed when a report cycle is selected in the report writing modules.
   6. Write the message that you want to display to report writers.
   7. Click Save & Close.
      The report notice is listed in the Report Noticeboard screen and displayed in the report writing modules:
      
   Edit a report notice.

   1. Select the report notice that you want to edit from the left hand menu.
   2. Click Edit Notice Properties in the Notice Options panel. The Edit Notice window is displayed:
      
   3. Edit the Publishing Date. The report notice starts to display on this date.
   4. Edit an Archive Date. The report notice is removed from display on this date.
   5. Use the checkboxes available to select where you want to display this report notice.
   6. Edit the Notice Title. This is displayed when a reportcycle is selected in the report writing modules.
   7. Edit the message that you want to display to report writers.
   8. Click Save & Close.
   Delete a report notice.

   1. Select the report notice that you want to delete from the left hand menu.
   2. Click Delete Notice in the Notice Options panel.
      You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this notice item?
   3. Select Yes.
      The report notice is removed from the Report Noticeboard screen and the reporting modules it is linked to.
