Using the Security Tab

The Security tab in the Parent Portal Manager module allows you to set up and manage security options for the Parent Portal. The options available in the tab let you restrict Parent Portal access to authorised users and secure data connections between users and the Parent Portal.

Use this tab when setting up your Parent Portal for the first time.

When you select the Security tab, a number of options are available for you in the right hand menu:

Portal User Management	Manage Portal Users. Set up and manage Parent Portal user accounts.
Portal Registration	Letter Registration Codes. View Parent Portal registration details generated in iSAMS. Registration Settings. Configure settings for Parent Portal registrations.
Portal Security	Portal SSL Options. Enable SSL security authentication for your Parent Portal. Portal Authentication Options. Configure your Active Directory with the Parent Portal.
Portal User Reports	Temporary Report. View details of users who have been sent Parent Portal account registration details and choose to manually activate Parent Portal accounts. Registration Report. View details of users who have successfully activated and registered their Parent Portal accounts. Portal Login Report. View details of users who have attempted to log into the Parent Portal.
