Search for Other School records using a selection of key fields listed in school records. This is useful for using multiple search criteria to filter records. Use your school search to edit records in bulk, prepare correspondence to other schools and add schools to groups.
For example, choose to search for independent secondary schools and generate address labels for correspondence.
To run a custom search, follow the steps below:
- In the Other Schools module, select the Other Schools tab.
- Select Custom Search from the header bar.
The Other Schools Search screen is displayed: Use the fields in the sections available to enter search criteria. The sections and fields available in the Other Schools Search screen are explained below:
Section Search by... General School Details - School Name.
- Contact. Specify a name for a school contact.
School Address Details The school's address. School Groups Custom School Groups that schools are linked to. Use the checkboxes to select multiple school groups, as required. School Structure Details - School Type. Select a School Type from the drop-down list.
- Intake Type. Select a Intake Type from the drop-down list.
- Governance Type. Select a Governance Type from the drop-down list.
- Boarding Type. Select a Boarding Type from the drop-down list.
- Gender Type. Select a Gender Type from the drop-down list.
- Enter as many search criteria as required, school records are filtered accordingly.
The icon indicates that the Data Selector Tool is available to save you time. Start typing in a field where this icon is displayed to see a list of options. - In the Search Options section, click Search.
- Use the grouping tools to organise the school records displayed, if required:
- Click in a selected column in the header bar to change the order that records are listed:
You are now ready to use the school records list, as required.
