Manage Message Sounds

Use the Manage Message Sounds option in the Mobile & Tablet Manager to manage the sounds that are made on devices when a notification is delivered.

1. Either:
   • Open the iSAMS Control Panel and select the Mobile & Tablet Manager applet.
     or
   • Select Mobile & Tablet Manager from the module bar if the applet has been configured to display here.

2. Open the Notifications tab and select Manage Message Sounds in the right hand menu:
   

   All the current notification sounds are listed. Icons identify the sounds as built-in, default and active.

3. Choose to:
   • Create a custom sound.
   • Edit a sound.
   • Delete a sound. This is only available for custom sounds.

Create a Custom Sound

1. Click Create Sound in the top left of the screen.
   The Create Notification Sound window is displayed:
   
2. Enter a clear and concise name for the Notification Sound and Sound Title. The Sound Title is displayed when you choose a sound for a notification.
3. Use the drop downs to select whether the Sound Is Active (and can be selected when compiling a message) and whether it is the Default Sound (preselected when compiling a message).
4. Click Save & Close.
   The sound is listed in Manage Notification Sounds.

Edit a Sound

1. Scroll to the sound that you want to edit and click  to display the Edit Notification Sound window:
   
2. Enter a clear and concise Sound Title. The Sound Title is displayed when you choose a sound for a notification.
3. Use the drop downs to select whether the Sound Is Active (and can be selected when compiling a message) and whether it is the Default Sound (preselected when compiling a message).
4. Click Save & Close.
   The sound is listed in Manage Notification Sounds.

Delete a Sound

1. Scroll to the sound that you want to edit and click .
   You are prompted Are you sure you want to delete this notification sound?
2. Select Yes.
   The sound is deleted.
